Guest guest
Sri:mathe: Ramanujaya namaha! Sri Jeeyar Thiruvadigale: Saranam!! Sri Rama is ‘Sumaha:yasa’. He upheld the name and fame of Ka:kuthtthsa Vamsa that whoever approaches them would never go back with his wishes unfulfilled. He is ‘Maha:bala’. He had great strength in fulfilling the wants of the seekers. Since SriRama has many such qualities, Bharatha had expected that his desire would definitely be fulfilled. But Rama had come here to behave like a human being and practise ‘sa:ma:nyadharmas’. The foremost requisite for any human being is ‘sathyava:k’. The important dharma for any person is to follow one’s father’s order. Disregarding ‘pithru a:jna’ and ‘sathyava:k’ and agreeing to Bharatha’s prayer would be against outward ‘dharma:charana’, so he did not accept his proposal. Rama had come here to show through his practice how one should behave in the society. If Rama would have to agree to Bharatha’s words it would be going against dharma as a human being and as a son too. So he could not fulfil Bharatha’s (wish) ignoring the ‘sathyava:kya’ and the ‘pitruva:kya’. Bharatha was well aware of the inner ji:va dharma. He had come here to practise and establish the right behaviour from the outset. So following his father’s command, he could not agree to his mother’s words or obey his guru’s command or fulfil the people’s wish. In Sri Ramayana, one should carefully notice the different aspects of ‘ba:hya’ and ‘a:nthara’ dharma (outer and inner) from the behaviour of different characters. To be continued.... Jai Srimannarayana!! Ramanujamma Mudumbai, Ramanujadasi.
