Guest guest Posted August 7, 2002 Report Share Posted August 7, 2002 We would like to remind you of this upcoming event. 2nd Saturday Aradhanam Saturday, August 10, 2002 Time: 9:30AM - 12:30PM MDT (GMT-06:00) The International Ramanuja Society in cooperation with ISKCON Denver is blessed to conduct 2nd Saturday Aradhanam, traditional worship to Sri Lakshmi-Narayana in the style that is found in Vishnu temples throughout the world. The event takes place every second Saturday of the month at Sri Radha Govinda temple, which is located at 1400 Cherry St. in Denver. The program includes recitation of verses from the 4000 Sacred Collect (Nalayira Divya Prabhandam) of the Alwars, as well as Vedic chants and Vishnu Sahasranamam. The worship centers around salagramams, unique iconographic forms of Vishnu that are only found in the River Ghantaki in Nepal. A bala vihar (children's learning program), known as Krishnam Vande Jagad Gurum, will be conducted between 10:30 and 11:30, based on the number of registrants. It will include stories, games, and music lessons for children 3 and up. A prasadam luncheon will follow the religious proceedings.
