Our father, Our Lord - who reclines in TiruvaLLUr

Detailed Meaning :

1) The first cause Lord who decided to create -

He decided to create all these worlds only to uplift all of us. It was in no way intended to exhibit His paratvam (supremacy). Thus, our Lord, with His totally pure intention is pUtAtmA.

2) The Lord who became the 3 -

He took the incarnations of sankarSaNa, pradyumna & aniruddha to do the actual creation, annihilation and maintainance. He became the indweller of Brahma, Siva and Indra to give them the capability to create, destroy and maintain (at the gross level). He is totally bent upon giving us the required resources and take away unwanted things. All of this is aimed at our upliftment. He doesnot do all this as an exhibition of His capability to create, destroy & maintain & thereby petrify and intimidate us. He is always on the move to give us better and better oppurtunities for improvement. Thus, that Lord, with such divine and noble intentions is undisputedly the purest one (pUtAtmA).

3) The great Lord who expounded the vEdAs :

To elucidate the vEdAs, He became the great sage vAlmIki. To explain the esoteric truths in the most interesting way through purANAs, He became the great vEda vyAsa maharShi. He became our gItAcArya (Our Lord Krishna) to summarize the vEdAs easily in just seven hundred SlOkAs and laid to rest all the related confusions. He gave them in such sweet capsules, which could be readily imbibed by us. Further through our Sri Ramanuja, Sri ManavALa mAmuni & all our AchAryAs, those truths were explained in a down to earth manner. Also, any related misconceptions about the vEdic statements were annihilated as and when they came up.

All of this He does, not to be praised by us or to get a favour from us. It is only intended to do immense good to us & put us on the right path. It is because, He is the purest in His thoughts, speech and action. His sankalpA is True to the core and the purest.

4) The sacred one (pUtAtmA) :

He is totally pure at heart. He always wishes only for our good. It is because of the 'pure' unconditional love He has for us, like our mother. As a mother, He always wishes for our welfare under all circumstances. Never even for a split of a second does He wish the slightest bad for us.

He is our real mother, father, our True relative. Who else is there in all these worlds, who cherishes such pure love for us; who always longs for us and who does only good to us, always?.

(To be Continued...)

Today is my father's tirunakshatram. He seeks the blessings of revered elders and the wishes of the younger ones.

Jai Sriman Narayana
