vayyaththu va:l vi:rga:l na:mum nampa:vaikku

seyyum kirisaigal ke:li:ro: ! pa:rkadalil

paiyaththu yinra paramanadi pa:di

neyyunno:m pa:lunno:m na:tka:le: ni:ra:di

 

maiyittezhu do:m malarittu na:mudiyo:m

seyya:dana seyyo:m thi:kkuralaich chenro:do:m

iyyamum pichchayum a:ndanayum kaika:tti

vuyyuma:renni yugande:lo:remba:va:i ||

 

Those who enjoy living on this Earth ! Listen to the things we do in

our Vratham ! Let us sing the glories of the Lotus feet of Parama:thma

Lord Na:ra:yana who is taking rest in the milky ocean. During this

Vratham, We take shower in the early morning. We don't take any

preparations made of milk and Ghee. We don't put the black paste

(Ka:tuka) to our eyes, nor do we wear garlands / flowers. We shall

never do the things that were not accepted by our elders, nor do we go

to others and speak bad about anybody or anything. We shall practice

to generously do charity to the extent possible and give alms to the

saints and sannyasis. Listen to the things we need to do, Enjoy !

thinking the ultimate path ! This is our vratham, let us follow.

pu:nguvalaip po:dil porivandu kanpaduppa

the:nga:de: pukkirundu si:rthamulai paththi va:nga

kudam niraikkum vallal perum pasukkal

ni:nga:da selvam niraindu e:lo:remba:va:i ||

 

In this pasuram, Anda:l is showing the worldly material results to those

who allow them to do the Vratham, though, the main result of this

Vratham is to enjoin Lord Krishna only. Let us sing the glorious name

of the one who measured this whole universe with His feet in Thrivikrama

incarnation. We shall call it vratham and if we as a part of it shall

take the Divine shower then, there won't be any calamities to anybody,

anywhere in the whole world. There will be rains once every 10 days

thus, thrice every month. Paddy grows extremely well. As there is no

scarcity of water and the fields are full of waters, fishes in the water

jump across the paddy branches. In those water sheds, the lotus like

kaluva flowers blossom and in them the big bees rest, with their

stomachs filled with the plenty of honey. If Courageous, strong and

persevering persons hold the milching sacs of the cow and once start to

sqeeze milk then all the pots that were brought will get filled with the

milk given by those extremely generous great cows.
