Knowledge of the bramhan is very difficult to attain. Suppose, we

attain it by passing through great hardship; then what is the

benefit? This eighth manthram explains the benefit accruing from the

sacred knowledge of the bramhan.

This manthram says that the person who attains the sacred knowledge

acquires a form equivalent to that of the bramhan. The form of the

bramhan is also described in this manthram.

The bramhan is sukram (i.e, pure) and holy. The soul attains this

pious state once it is cleansed of its impurities. This is possible

only through the mercy of God. Further, the bramhan is 'aka:yam',

i.e., He is without a body. This means, He has no body that is

inflicted by dirt and impurity. His form is; 'avranam', i.e.,

untouched by diseases or illness; 'asna:viram', i.e., it has no

nerves and veins. Hence, God's body is always pure and it is 'apa:pa

viddham', i.e., without any merits or sins. The liberated person who

realizes this nature of the bramhan also attains the same stage as

that of the bramhan. Then, such a person will be able to see the

existing things as they are, for all time. He attains omniscience; he

understands even the most subtle things; he will be in possession of

knowledge. His mind is entirely under his control. He also has

desires but they will centre around God. His desire will be a desire

for God; his anger will be directed to the non-godly things, such a

person does not suffer from death or decay. Nor does he fall down

from his status. He attains liberation from this worldly bonds and

lives in the divine presence.
