Guest guest
Sreemathe Ramanujaya Namaha! Sri Jeeyar Thiruvadigale Saranam!! Human life is the greatest. Rama has taken such human birth. He killed Ravana. So the important thing in the story is ‘mano:vijayam’ (victory over mind). Sri Rama had proved to the mankind – ‘what they have to know, and how they have to behave in this world’. So Valmiki had named it ‘poulasthya vadha’. Ravana had ten faces. The Manas has five ‘jna:nendriyas’ and five ‘karmendriyas’ - ten faces for it to work. They are the ten gates. Hence manas is ‘daSa mukha’ and humanity is required to conquer this . Though we are born as the human kind we cannot control it, Bhagavan Himself came down to teach us, conducted himself as a true human being, and showed us the right path. To make it known to the mankind that this story of Ramayan has to be heard by all, Rama himself listened to it with interest and eagerness by sitting close to Lava and Kusa in the durbar hall. They were singing. Sri Ramayan is the wonderful kaavya. Sri Rama charitha had actually happened. Bhagavan had descended as a human being for the sake of Ravana vadha and illustrated by his behaviour and his associates behaviour the dharma and jnana as expounded by Vedas. Here SriRama observed ‘sa:ma:nya dharma’. The dharmas the human beings have to follow to give happiness to the fellow beings while taking care of their well being, simultaneously taking well care of their future lives and to be happy in the higher lokas – are the ‘sa:ma:nya dharmas’. Sri Rama and Sitha followed samanya dharma. To be continued... Jai srimannarayana!
