of the Vedics Magazine, Ramanuja Darshanam Vol 2, Issue 1. The new

issue is very special because it commemmorates the thiru nakshatram

(birth day) of swAmy kUrathAzhwAn, a preceptor of our hoary lineage

whose contributions and life defy description. The magazine may be

The new issue details an insightful, succinct biography of swAmy

kUrathAzhwAn by Sri U Ve E S BhuvarAhachar swAmy, an eminent scholar

familiar to many in the sampradAyam, and articles by such stalwarts as

Sri Badri nArAyaNa bhaTTar swAmy (a direct descendant of swAmy

kUrathAzhwAn) and Sri PB Rajahamsam swAmin.

 

An important new initiative has been begun, with the serialization of

Dr. V V Ramanujam's (Editor, YathirAja pAduka) wonderful transliteration

of the Very Compassionate (parama kAruNikar) vyAkhyAna chakravathi swAmy

periyavAchchAn piLLai's uplifting commentary for gadya trayam. Gadya

trayam is verily considered to be swAmy emperumAnAr's sAmpradAyic magnum

opus. We plan to serialize other important sAmpradAyic works in

English, and your kind support / participation would be greatly appreciated.
