Guest guest
sri: Requesting list owners to post to their list. ================================ Humble pranam to all devotees of the LORD: It is really heartening to see more and more devotees " sincerely " wanting to unite all the SriVaishanvas. This has been tried in the recent past (in 1950's and then in 2000-Yathi Sammelanam etc) to unite all SriVaishnavas. Let us look at the reasons for the NON-Unity and steps to Unite. Unless all agree on the first two steps every thing else is just talk, and no long term action will come from it. ================================= STEP 1: Fear of conversion and changes. ================================= Some of the groups involved are afraid that they may loose their temple, sannidhis, rights to the other groups who are strong (financially or in other respects.) This fear causes the most amount of problems. Solution: All the leaders/ acharyas/ acharya purushas to agree and sign off that DOCUMENT and LEAVE ALL THE DhivyaDesamTEMPLES AS IS (wrt. Thiurman, Patram, rights etc), and NO MORE CONVERSIONS/ CHANGES WILL TAKE PLACE. If we can bring this into law, then there will be a long term unity very fast, as various parties will not fear and mistrust other parties. This is easily said / written on paper than can be done. ALL THE LEADERS will have to agree to this, NO MORE CONVERSIONS/ CHANGES WILL TAKE PLACE. Only then can there be unity, We can have the draft legal documents ready in 3 weeks, if all the parties are willing to sincerely work towards this 1st step. IMPLEMENTATION: Once the legal document is agreed upon by all the leaders Steps can be taken to pass this as State and Central Govt. Law. ================================================================ STEP 2: Never speak or write anything NEGATIVE about other SriVaishnavas in Public & in Private regarding other Groups, Mutts, Acharyas or individuals. ================================================================ ALL acharya/ acharya purusha/ Upanyasaka to agree that they will NOT Speak or Write anything negative about others. This is much more difficult than Step1, as who would Implement this, At least to agree in writing is the first step. Yathi Sammelanam committee has the agreement form, we can learn from their experiences. Unless these two steps can be agreed on we cannot have a TOP - DOWN approach to unity. ================================================================== Will list the Bottom-Up approach that will have to be grass roots movement, from all the devotees in the next note.
