Guest guest
Dear BhagavatOttamas, There is one brahmasUtra which says, there is no return from paramapadham. Even Lord Himself promises that there is no return, in Gita (yad gatvA na nivartantE taddhAma paramam mama). We believe in this for our own confidence. People will extend all this to performance of rituals etc., " SAstras are Lord's own words, Lord will punish those who dont adhere to them " etc, ignoring Lord's dOsha bhOgyatvam! But even if Lord goes against His own words, who are we to question Him? Also who are we to attribute " astyavAditvam " (state of being a liar) to Him? Where can we challenge His actions? This is explained by Parasara Bhattar in his interpretation of the word " adhrta: " There were sons of a vaidika in the city of dwAraka, who were dying immediately after taking birth. Arjuna once comes to dwAraka and pities the brahmin. He promises to save the next issue. He builds a fortress of arrows around the place of delivery (if I am right) thru which yama could not enter. But still the baby dies. Arjuna feels very bad on his failure. Then KrshNa consoles him and takes Him to paramapadam. There the kids were found with the Supreme Personality of Godhead SrimannArAyaNa. nArAyaNa then tells KrshNa and arjuna that He only brought those kids to Paramapadham, and returns them to Partha-Parthasarathy duo. These kids were " asiddha samAdhaya: " according to Bhattar, they never had any Abhimukhaym or inclination for Him in their momentary life. They reached paramapadham by His unconditional grace, which is His nature. Whether we believe in svaprayatnam (individual effort), or His nirhEtuka krpA, by any yardstick, they should not have returned to the earth. But still they returned, because He is not bound or held by any rule (adhrta:). adiyen ramanuja dasan Vishnu
