with a scintillating upanyAsam on the first ChUrNikai

of SarNAgathy Gadhyam of AchArya RaamAnuja . He is

following the insightful commentaries of both PeriyavAcchAn

PiLLai (PVP) and Sudarsana Suri (SUS).

The Introduction to SaraNAgathy Gadhyam was covered in the first UpanyAsam .

The second UpanyAsam went over some of the material of the First upanyAsam

in easy to understand and unique style of Srimath Azhagiya Singar and brought us

to the beginning sections of the First of the 33 ChurNikais .

 

Out of His infinite compassion for us , the Dayaa Moorthy , Srimath

Azhagiya Singar known for His world renowned scholarship came to

our levels in explaining complex doctrines housed in the Gadhyam

and very unique words pregnant with SaasthrEic meanings . With carefully

chosen examples that can resonate with us , Srimath Azhagiya Singar

explained the meanings of Sanskrit words of the Gadhyam like " Roopam -

Svaroopam , abhimatham-anuroopam , Bhagavan-NaarAyaNa sabdham ,

ubhaya vibhUthi yOgam , yOga RooDi , NirUpakam- NirUpyam et al " .

Without His mahOpakAram , we could not at all understand the significance

of the meanings of these words and the context of usage by AchArya RaamAnuja.

 

The Coverage of Saturday ( July 29) UpanyAsam will start from Page 6
