Dear VedAbhimAnis :

 

Three years ago , adiyEn had the bhAgyam to assemble

the thrikAla SandhyA Vandhanam performance videos

for help with the daily performance of one of the most

important nithya karma for those who are ordained to do it .

 

The Yajur and Saama Veda DVDs were prepared at Srirangam

under the supervision of HH Poundarikapuram Srimath Andavan

and the Rg Veda SandhyA Vandhanam DVD was created with

the help of Rg Veda GhanapAdi , Sri Rangaraja Bruhaspathy of

KumbakONam .

 

This year , the Sundara Simham GhOshti released

the three e-books on Rg, Yajur, Saama UpAkarmAs

and currently adiyEn is posting a few articles on

the significanc eof the 280 plus Deva Rishi Pithru

TarpaNmas of Saama Veda Upaakarmaa .

Our Thanks are to Sri Ahobila Matam for the Saama Upaakarma

Text and Sri Vaasu VaadhyAr Swamy of Chennai for audio links

and selected pictures .

 

As a part of the SathAbhishEkam celebrations of

Prakrutham Srimath Azhagiya Singar , we would like to

create and release DVD/ Video and Voice Images of

the Three UpAkarmAs in a Month's time .

Both Homams and other angams of the UpAkarmA

will be included so AasthikAs without access to

the Bruhaspathys can perform upAkarmAs without

deficencies (lObhams) in Manthram and Kriyaa .

 

Bruhaspathy Rg Veda GhanapAdi Sri Rangarajan Swamy ,

an authority in Veda Karmaas will personally supervise

and conduct these three UpAkarmAs with the help of

an adhikAri for creation of these three DVDs at

KumbakONam .

 

We need support funds for the SambhAvanai for

GhanapAdi Swamy and for covering the expenses of

creating the DVD for wide distribution both in India and

Overseas .

 

The anticipated Expenses are $400 each for the three

videos . Few Rg Vedins have voluntered to cover the expenses

for the Rg UpAkarmaa . Yajur and Saama vedins are invited to

join in this Kaimkaryam to assemble the remaining $ 800

for their Veda Saakhais . Please let me know of your

interest in participation .

 

These DVDs will have the blessings of anugraha

BhAshaNam from Srimath Azhagiya Singar

about the importance of Vaidhika KarmAs in general

and UpAkarmAs in particular. We are planning to record

the anugraha BhAshaNam of Srimath Azhagiya Singar

at Melkote during the first week of October , when

HH will be there for the celebrations of MangaLAsAsanam

of ThirunAraayaNar and Yadhugiri NaacchiyAr as well as

the Thirunakshathram celebrations of Aadhi VaNN

SaThakOpa Jeeyar and Swamy Desikan there .

 

These DVDs will be made available thru the Book

Stores of Ahobila Matam , Srirangam PeriyANdavan

and Poundarikapuram Andavan Aasramams ,

the Nrusimha Priyaa office at Mylapore and

Sri Ranganatha Temple at Pomona , NY

in 4 to 6 weeks time based on the scheduling of

the UpAkarmaa sessions at KumbakONam .

 

Every one , who supports the raising of the needed

funds ( $1,200 for the three VedAs) will be presented

with one DVD set for your family use .

 

We invite smaller and larger donations to assemble

this needed sum to get started with the taping of

the Videos .
