Guest guest
Respected Ramanuja Bhaktas, Among the greatest of disciples of Bhagavad Sri Ramanuja was his scribe, Sri Kurattazhwan, or Kuresa as he is known in Sanskrit. As many of you Kuresa had twin sons, whom Ramanuja named after the renowned sages Parasara and Vyasa. The first son, Sri Parasara Bhattar Swamy became the immediate successor to Bhagavad Sri Ramanuja. Descendants of both these sons still continue to render service to the servants of Sri Ranganatha on the island of Srirangam to this day, taking care of the temple of Sri Kurattazhwan. The renowned members of Sri Parasara Bhattar family also run a school for the children of the area, Aranganayaki Primary School, and they are needing the assistance from all of us. Several of the children who attend this school have to travel long distances from neighboring villages to attend, often by foot. Their parents have expressed concerns about this, so the teachers at the school are thinking about purchasing a small car to transport children to and from school, and to participate in spiritual functions. The car that they wish to purchase is a small Maruti-Suzuki, a small 5-passenger car that resembles the Volkswagen Golf. The total estimated cost of the vehicle is about 2.8 lakhs of rupees - about 7000 US Dollars. Your financial support would help greatly in achieving this goal.
