Greatness of Baghavan Nama and Mahatmas

In Pudukottai there lived Brahamasri. Gopalakrishna

Bhagavathar – who was popularly known as Bhagavatha

swamigal, spent all his life time in doing

Namasankeerthanam. The Bhagavathar has played vital

role in spreading Nama sankeerthanam and used to

celebrate Narasimha jayanthi Utsavam in Pudukottai

every year (and even now every year the utsavam is

conducted... ...)

 

The Utsavam is even today thronged by many peoples

from all over the States. There has been many divine

experiences happened to the devotees but I would like

to extract one such true incident which happened

during one of the Utsavam during the time of the

Bhagavathar.

 

One lady by name Bhuvaneswari once attended the

Utsavam and on her return wanted to go to Tapovanam

and to have darshan of Swami Gnanananda Swamigal.

While reaching the place,Bhuvaneswari started to

suffer of acute stomach ache which she was been

suffering the last six months and wanted to inform the

same to Swami Gnanananda Swamigal for a solution.

 

The lady met the Swamigal and the Swamigal asked her

from where are you coming from and the lady replied

that she is coming after attending the Utsavam.

 

Swamigal replied, " I am unlucky because I was never

fortunate to attend the function, but since you have

already attended the Utsavam which was conducted by

Bhagavathar swamigal & you having heard Bhajans from

the voice of Bhagavathar; had the prasadam which is

normally prepared from the rice of unchasvardhi and

hence there is no need of any medicine for your

problem. The Nama sankeerthanam what you heard is

alone the medicine, which has already started to work

in your body and you will be alright soon

 

What a real surprise….. Within 10 minutes she was

relieved of from the pain

 

In Continuation the Tapovanam Swamigal said, “For any

disease Baghavan Nama is the medicine, and advised her

to chant Baghavan Nama regularly in her home”

 

Such is the greatness of Baghavan nama and the Darshan

of Great Mahatmas
