Guest guest
Dear All, " Starting with Alwars, Nayanmars, Kumaraguruparar, Nakeerar, Arunagirinathar, Abhirami Bhattar and Avvayaar in Tamil Nadu, Narayana Bhattatri in Kerala, Bhadrachala Ramdasa in Andhra, Purandaradasa in Karnataka, Mira Bhai in Uttar Pradesh, the innumerable Pandarpur devotees in Maharashtra, Guru Govind Singh, Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Swami Vivekananda, Saradha Mani and Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in Bengal, Ramana Maharshi, Seshadri Swamigal and Yogiramsuratkumar in Tiruvannamalai, Swami Jnanananda in Tapovanam -- this country has given birth and still giving birth to Jnanis and Jivan Muktas throughout. And all of them have preached Nama Kirtan. Ramakrishna Says, when a pumpkin is cut at home, a seed or two spill out into the garden without our knowledge. One fine day, we see a nice pumpkin creeper in the garden. In the same way, Nama Kirtan, whether done knowingly or unknowingly, certainly has to give its effect. All these Mahans stressed just this fact. Today we see that Swami Vivekananda has glorified the Hindu religion all over the world. No doubt Sri Ramakrishna's penance had been the reason for this. But what Mantra did Sri Ramakrishna initiate Swami Vivekananda into? He initiated Vivekananda into the holy 'Rama' Nama. It is the power of that Divine Name that made him establish this Universal Religion of Brotherhood called Hinduism all over the world. It is an undeniable fact that our country received independence because of one person - Mahatma Gandhi. How did he accomplish that? In his final lecture before independence, he says, 'We have tried our level best. Now let us all chant the Divine Name together. Only that has the power to get us independence.' Not one of his prayers passed without Rama Nama Kirtan. Swami Vivekananda traveled the length and breadth of India alone and reached Kanyakumari. He swam to what is today known as the 'Vivekananda Rock' and performed intense penance sans food water and sleep for three days, towards Mother India. The Mother appeared on the first day, hands and legs shackled. She signified that the country was enslaved. The second day, the Mother appeared unshackled and free. Then Vivekananda wrote in his diary, 'The mother is unshackled. India will attain Independence .' He then asked Mother India, will India savour the 'Rama Rajya' as has been the cherished dream of so many leaders and saints. Rama Rajya is possible only through spirituality. Only through Rama Nama Kirtan can it be attained. Rama Rajya is not very far. It is not far off. What does 'far' mean? It is right in our hands! If we cherish Rama Rajya, the only thing we need to do is continue to chant the Nama and make every one chant! If that happens, then the Rama Rajya is possible very soon. It is certain that every corner of Tamil Nadu , India and the world shall echo this Rama Nama!
