Guest guest
Sri: Dear Sriman KrishNa TatachAr: 1)When AchArya of the stature of Swamy Desikan blesses us with a SrI Sookthi ( SthOthram here ) , He is thinking more of us , who do not have the VairAgyam , Jn~Anam and yet seek from the most compassionate Varam tarum Varadarajan this worldly sulhams ( all the three other PurushArTams ) . Swamy incorporates the bheejAksharams and Mantrams inside these sthOthra Granthams . Chathur VarNatthAr , women , Men , Children can recite them without upadEsam from AchAryans as in the case of esoteric mantrams . There is no anadhikAri as a result .Such is the vastness of the Dayaa of our AchAryan . 2. Swamy Desikan's AchAryan was ApuLLAr ( That srEshta bird, Garudan , who carries the Lord , Gardan ) . Swamy recieved mantropadEsam (Garuda MantrOpadEsam ) from His AchAryan and arrived at Thiruvahendhrapuram to recite Garuda Mantram on Oushadha Giri and gained siddhi : SaakshAthkAram of Garuda BhagavAn and the Yoga Hayagreva Murthy for His AarAdhanam . SthOthrams on Garuda and HayagrIva are acknowledgement of the indebtedness of Dwamy Desikan to these two Mantra Moorthys . 3. Garuda DaNDakam and Garuda PanchAsath are for protection against snakes , scorpions and other poisonous animals . This Swamy Desikan blessed for us . 4. By the age of 20 , Swamy Desikan had mastered the VedAntham Saasthrams , VisishtAdhvaitham's doctrines inluding Bhagavat GeethA . He blessed us with Taathparya Chandrika , the brilliant annotated commentary on AchArya Raamanuja's GeethA BhAshyam , which itself takes off from Swamy AlawandAr's GeethArTa Sangraham . Swamy also blessed us with the Tamil Prabhandham of GeethArTa Sangraham .Hence , Swamy intrepreted and taught the mesage of Bhagavath GitA (18.66) and wrote many elaborations on our Lord's Charama SlOkam in His Prabhandhams and ChullaRai rahasyams . 5. he Ahobilavalli and SundaraSimham Teams have put together number of e-books on these subjects . As a Member of the Team , Dr.Saroja Ramanujam with her facile and scholarly wriitngs is assembling the Garuda PanchAsath as one of the e-books for Ahobilavalli . We will combine it with the audio on Sri Garuda PanchAsath and Tamil Text ( Trnsltion ) by Sri Anbil SrinivAsan of New Delhi .
