Dear Sri Ravishankar,

Lord Ranganatha's reclining on serpent has a different meaning for azhwars. It stands for jagad rakshaNa chintanam as they say "pazhudil thol puhazh pAmbaNai-p-paLLiyAy". Adi Sesha means the formeost subservient being, and He also serves Him as simhAsanam when He sits, pAdukAs as He walks etc.. This stands for Lord's ability to use the jIva in any way He wants.

I doubt whether shatchakras, ashta siddhis etc. really exist. Also immortality is not possible as KrshNa says "jAtasya hi dhurvO mrtyu:".

Regards

Vishnu

Dear Members,What is Kundalini? In the modern day, is there anyonewho is known to have experienced this power? Sri Sri Muralidhara Swamiji: Kundalini (also known as the serpent power) is thehidden vital power in every man. It lies dormant inthe Muladhara Chakra (a spot below the human spinalcord) and can be awakened by proper spiritualpractices and made to rise up to the Sahasrara or thetop of the head. The Lord Ranganatha in Srirangam lies on a serpentrepresenting verily this secret. When the serpent power is awakened and risen up, oneacquires the 8 Siddhis and eventually immortality. Thestory of the Devas and the Asuras churning the oceanof milk is verily a tale to illustrate this concept. Finding one who has experienced this power is indeedrare. There may be a few such saints who are usuallyin the dense jungles and mountain slopes of theHimalayas.

Catch hold of the Mahamantra. Chant it continuously, whenever you get time and leave the rest to Him. Hewill take care of you and bring yet another beautifuldawn in your life. Sri Vishnu,

A slight variance from what you have stated. As you know, part of our

daily practice involves the recitation of " sendrAl kudiyAm... " during

mantra pushpam. Why do we recite it before the Lord. To express the

effort He takes to protect the jIva. Yes, He can use His Universe for

whatever He pleases, but it is His Compassion that is the Greatest of

His Qualities. That is why we call Him mAl, chaste Tamizh of

Overwhelming, Unbounded Love.
