Guest guest
Namo Bhagavatas, Dasan has some doubts on apacharam of killing living beings like insects(Mosquitoes, Cockroaches, ants etc.,) unknowingly or Knowingly. Request the learned to shed some light on what our dharma shastrams say about this. As a Srivaishnava we believe that all the living beings are jeevatmans. Does intentionaly or unintentionally killing these insects is considered a Papam in our Dharma Shastram? If so what is the prayaschittam we need to do, especially for a Prapanna? Guest guest
Dear Sriman Mohan, There is a beautiful evidence in Vara Vara muni's Srisooktis in YatirAja vimSati: kAlatrayEti karaNa traya nirmita ati pApa kriyasya SaraNam bhagavat kshamA Eva .... Only the Lord's tolerance and forgiveness that is the refuge from all apachArams. Conducting prAyaSchittams etc. as rituals is not in line with ThennAchArya sampradAyam. adiyen ramanuja dasan Vishnu --- Mohan <mohan0128 wrote: > Sri Srinivasa, > > > So, when we have no other choice other than this, some action will result. > One need not be concerned with anything; all we can say is that we acted as > His Instruments, and it is He who made us to take these actions.
