Dear VedAbhimAnis ;

 

To read about the echos of Veda GhOsham

and that too Achidra , AswamEdha , KaaDaka

PaarAyaNam on a Kaisika EkAdasi day is

a thrilling experience . It has so many imageries .

The ancient ( anAdhi) Veda mantrams being

recited from a cruise boat on the very old river of

Nile , which has seen many empires built and

destroyed in the dust of time is a thought provoking

event . The eternal VedAs and their MangaLa dhvani

in the back ground of all that has finite existence

is some thing for us to remember and cherish .

 

The students of Sriman IVK Chary Swamy of

Kuwait/ ArasANippAlai have to be commended

for their steadfast practise and VedAdhyayanam .

The kaimkaryam of Sriman IVK Chari to expand

the core of VedAdhyAyees in the Middle Eastern

countries is extraordinary indeed !

[T'venkatam] Kaisika Ekadasi Achirdra/Aswamedha, etc parayanam in Egypt

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dear Members

 

The Kaisika Ekadasi Achidram / Aswamedha Parayanam went off very well 'on board' the cruise "Miss Esadora" when she was sailing on the Nile close to Luxor in Egypt. It was on the evening of 9th Dec 08 and was well attended by all the tour members.

 

The recitations started with Acharya Thaniyan followed by selected recitations from Achidram and Aswamedham.

 

This was followed by recitations of

Lakshmi Ashtothram and

Vishnu Sahasranamam.

 

Since it was Kaisika Ekadasi, we also had a glimpse of Kaisika Puranam which is part of Varaha Puranam.

 

Kaisika Puranam introduction was given by Shri.Raghunathan Swamy and the story in nutshell was told by adiyen.

 

This was followed by some specialities about the place in which this Kaisika Puranam took place - that is Tirukkurungudi Divyadesam.

 

Shri Ramanujam Swamy, who recently visited this Divyadesam, described his experiences and the specialities of this Divyadesam. adiyen briefly recited the 10 Thiruvoimozhi Pasurams of Swamy Nammazhwar on this Divyadesam and briefed the participants on the general meanings of the pasurams.

 

The recitations ended with the participants expressing their bhagyam and satisfaction of reciting / listening to Veda Ghosham, Sahasranamam, Puranam and Divya Prabhandam on this auspicious day.

Dear All,

 

The Kaisika Ekadasi parayanam by the Tiruvenkatam group members will be held in two places due to the upcoming long holidays in Kuwait. It is scheduled to be held 1. in Egypt (as some of the group members are on an excursion to Egypt) and 2. in Chennai. Further details will be notified in this forum by the organising/hosting members.
