Text: " vaishnava vAmanathil niraindha nElamEniyin ruchi janaka vibhava lAvanyam pOrnam " The Lord of Thirukkurungudi became a Sreevaishnavite by learning sacred secrets procedurally from Sri rAmAnujA.As in SrE vAmana avathAram, the Lord approached Sri rAmAnujA as a disciple and became vaishnava nambi.Since, kurungudi indicates kuRiavan kudi referring to vAmana avathAram, indicating vibhavAvathAram, the complete beauty of the thirumEni - samudhAya sobhai- the beauty is spread over the body evenly like salt-lAvanyam- such complete beauty creates endless attraction which is the characteristic of vibhavAthAram. It is also pertinent to note that since it is mentioned the this thiru voizh mozhi " aRiyak kaRRu vallAr vaishnavar " - this shEtram is knwon as vAmana shEthram. The words vAmanathil has been used here to indicate the nexus with vibhavam. niraindha jOthi vellam sOzhndjha nEnda ponmEni -thiru voizh mozhi 5-5-7 and " nEla mEnium nAngu thOlgalum en nenjam niraindhanavE' thiru voizhmozhi 5-5-7 indicating the complete beauty of the lord. vibhava lAvanyam- " vuruvathai udaiyavan oLiyai vudaiyavan " rOpavAn Sopak: srEmAn; " srE rAmAyanam - Sundara KAndam 34-30 indicating the perfect beauty of the Lord in the incaranations. This complete beauty which is a characteristic of incaranation creates attraction. Being the next dhivya dhEsam after thirukkurghOr, this dhivya dhEsam is taken up .. vAnamAmalai padmanabhan
