dhivya dhEsam- thiruk kOlOr

pAsuram- vunnum sOru- thiru voizh mozhi 6-7

Quality: Abath sakathvam; Saviour in Emergency

Text: " kai mudhal iyandhAr vuNNum nidhiyin Abhatsakathvam pugum vOrilE

samrutham "

Summary: Those who are without any means or appropriate end, The Lord of

ThirukKolur gives them a helping hand like a reserve fund.

In thiru voizhmozhi 6-6 AzhwAr explains that all sorts of false means and

ends(pOliyAna upAya/upEyam) to attain him wither off and the similar to the

emergency fund, the lord is like the saviour and this attribute is termed as

Abath sakathvam.

Why does the superficial means/ends wither off?

AzhwAr,not having attained emberumAn, effects of separation make these wither

off.

How is this withering off deduced?

IN 6-6 these are explained.

" iyandhadhu sangE " 6-6-1 to " iyandhadhu kattE " 6-6-10.

How the lord here can be termed as emergencey/reserve fund?

The Lord s thiru nAmam here is " vaitha mA nidhi " . Such kind of fund are helpful

in distress and hence termed as Abath sakathvam.

Why the words pugum vOr is mentioned here?

Those who are eager to attain the end(upEyam), this dhivya dhEsam is a place to

enter. In this thiru voizh mozhi " thinnam en ilamAn pugumOr thirukkOlurE " 6-7-1.

Why samrutham is used here?

These words are inferred from the lines " selvam malgi avan kidandha

thirukkOlOrkkE " 6-7-10.
