Sri Venkatacharyar remained with immense jnana, bhakthi and vairAkhya satisfying all the necessary qualities to become the next peedAdhipadhi of the mutt. Hence Sri Periya deivanAyaka swamy gave sanyasa to venkatAcharyar and named him “ThiruvEnkata Jeeyer”. Once, Sri ThiruvEnkata Jeeyer swamy got the permission of Sri deivanAyakan swamy and went to alwar thirunagari to have the darshan and to do mangalAsAsanam to Azhvar. Azhvar welcomed Jeeyer by honoring him with his theertham, thirumAlai, thiruparivattam, rAmAnujan and finally with prasadam in Jeeyer’s mAdukara vessel (bhikshApAthram). Azhvar requested Jeeyer to stay there in the sannadhi and do kalashepams. And hence from that day thiruvEnkata Jeeyer continued doing him kalashepams in thirunagari. Meanwhile one day, Vanamamalai deivanAyakan Jeeyer swamy can to do mangalasAsanam to Azhvar and then proceeded towards Srirangam. At that time he took Sri thiruvEnkata jeeyer along with him to have the darshan of Periya perumal. After the mangalasAsanams at the temple, the king of the place with great respect very happily welcomed swamy. Due to the king’s request swamy then continued to stay in the mutt over there. Sri ThiruvEnkata Jeeyer prayed for the arrangements for a mahAratham for Azhvar in the sannadhi of Periya perumal. The pandia king then ordered for the required amount of wealth to be passed on to Sri ThiruvEnkata Jeeyer swamy. In this way huge amount of wealth was submitted to the divine feet of koil thiruvEnkata Jeeyer. Then ThiruvEnkata jeeyer, prostrated vAnamAmalai Jeeyer and with his permission for Azhvar thiruththEr returned back to thirunagari along with the huge wealth. Jeeyer prostrated Azhvar and requested to grant permission for thiruththEr according to the wish of Periya perumal. Jeeyer then informed the kerala king about the arrangements. The king immediately sent the required materials for the kainkaryam. Accepting the same Sri ThiruvEnkata Jeeyer continued with the thiruththEr kainkaryam in the appropriate manner. Sri ThiruvEnkata Jeeyer then invited his acharya, vAnamAmalai Jeeyer swamy for the rathOtsavam. Azhvar was decorated beautifully with elegant jewels and flower garlands and was placed inside the ratham (chariot). After the grand rathOtsava celebration thiruvEnkata Jeeyer rushed to srirangam to deliver the good news of Azhvar’s rathOtsavam to Periya perumal and after that stayed back in koil (srirangam) for some more days. In vAnamAmalai, Sri deivanAyakan Jeeyer swamy one fine day got up in the prAtah kalam (early morning) as usual and did all his nithyakarmAnushtAnams (daily routines) in the appropriate manner and then went to do thiruvArAdhanam to his thiruvArAdhana moorthi, washed perumal’s divine feet and accepted the SripAda theertham and distributed the same to all his disciples. Then as usual he did mangalasAsanams and continued his kalashepams. Following that swamy did thiruvArAdhanam to aranganagarappan followed by dhadheeyArAdhanam. After all these were over swamy sat meditating on the divine feet of his acharya infront of emperuman. Immensely happy with all the kainkaryams done by swamy, Sri vaikundanikEthan Sriman nArAyanan gave darshan to swamy on top of vinadhai siruvan (garudan). Enjoying the divine darshan swamy attained samAdhi and slowly the jeevatma escaped through the susumna nAdi breaking open the skull. Emperuman happily led the jeevan to paramapadham.
