AhcArya Hridhayam

 

Having seen the sUthram-wise contents in our earlier postings, let us briefly

dwell into the synopsis.

 

God by His mercy, bestowed to us knowledge to discern between good and bad and

sAsthram-s were given to us.

 

Understanding the difficulting in determining the ulterior and true essence of

the vEdha sAsthrangaL, the Lord bequeathed us with the Great thirumandhiram. The

differences in these two and the devotees who follow each of these,namely

sAshtram-s and thirumandhiram are spelt out.

 

Having said this, the greatness of thiru voi mozhi, the greatness of nam AzhwAr,

the reason for AzhwAr-s such greatness vis-a-vis God's blessings on AzhwAr are

then explained.

 

The effects of the blessings -mayar vaRa mathi nalam- on AzhwAr and

transformation in the state of AzhwAr from time to time in consonance with the

state of bhakthi and knowledge-gnAnam-is explained. The pAsuram-s which pour out

in these states are then explained.

 

The similarity with other devotees with that of AzhwAr during the state of

bhakthi is then deliberated.The terms spelt out by AzhwAr during the bhakthi

state and their ulterior meaning is elucidated. The premise on which bhakthi

state is formed being dhivya dhEsam is explained with specific relation to The

Lord's attributes as experienced and sung by nam AzhwAr. These experiences

ultimately turn out to be the cause-effect for thiru voi mozhi is then

highlighted.

 

The contents of this prabhandham is then compared with Sri Bhagwadh GEthA and

after highlighting the similarities and greatness of thiru voi mozhi is

established.
