Swamy left there to have darshan of Azhvar and on the seventh day of utsavam in the evening, swamy reached thirunagari and when swamy neared the arjunOtyAnam azhvar sent his honours and prasadams and welcomed swamy. Swamy accepted the honours and along with two type of special instruments played along side came on the beautiful ivory palanquin in rounds through the mAda veedhis (main streets around the temple) and reached the mutt and on the next day went to do mangalAsAsanams to azhvar. In this way swamy stayed under the divine feet of azhvar till the end of the utsavam and after receiving the azhvar’s honours on the thiruththEr day swamy returned back to Vanamamalai and remained in the grace of deivanAyakan spending his time in sath kalashepams. Swamy then visited azhvar during many vaikasi utsavams. At one time when swamy visited azhvar during the rathOtsavam swamy submitted a beautiful gem studded crown to azhvar. Swamy arranged for the crown to be brought in rounds on top of an elephant and then submitted it to azhvar seated on the ratham. Swamy was highly praised by the srivaishnavas belonging to Athan’s lineage over there and then also honoured by Azhvar himself. Then the king who had come over there showed his deep regards towards swamy after which swamy returned back to the mutt. Later once swamy went to Srivilliputtur to do mangalAsAsanams to Sri Andal and halted in the Krishnan temple while the srivaishnavas from the Andal sannadhi welcomed swamy and with due honours took him to the Andal sannadhi. Swamy did mangalAsAsanams to Andal and was graced by nachiyar. Swamy with great joy, showed his gratitude to the srivaishnavas over there and stayed for 3 days doing mangalAsAsanams to andal and then after getting the permission of andal returned back to Vanamamalai. Another time, wanting to do mangalAsAsanam to Periya perumal swamy started his journey along with number of srivaishnavas and first reached Thiruppullani. After doing mangalAsAsanams to pullani emperuman swamy went to raja mannAr sannadhi. After receiving the regards and honours from the srivaishnavas over there swamy then proceeded to thanjaimAmanikOil. The king of tanjore honoured swamy and from there swamy proceeded to have darshan of kudandhai kidandha mAl in kumbakonam. Later swamy had the darshan of nAthan in nAthan kOil and did mangalAsAsanam. Further swamy did mangalAsAsanams to all the divya desams in chola dEsam and then proceeded to thillai thiruchitra koodam and had darshan of govindarajan. Then swamy went to singaperumal Koil. After mangalAsAsanam swamy proceeded to Thiruvallikeni (“pArthan than thEr mun nindrAnai thiruvallikeni kandu”). There swamy stayed for 3 months doing mangalAsAsanams to Parthasarathi emperuman. Swamy accepted all the honours done by the srivaishnavas and other rich prabhus with love. Swamy accepted all the wealth and gems submitted to his divine feet and also the palanquin (AndOlika). Then swamy proceeded to do mangalAsAsanams to thiruvEnkatamudaiyan, devaperumal and EmperumAnAr in order and then finally reached koil (Srirangam). Swamy did mangalAsAsanams to Periya perumal and was highly honoured by all the srivaishnavas and bhattars over there. Then swamy started his journey back. Swamy again went to thanjaimAmanikOil on the way back. Then again swamy visited chambhakAranyam (mannarkudi) and after doing mangalAsAsanams to mannanar and getting the honours returned back to vanamAmAlai. Then swamy went to Azhvar thirunagari, did mangalAsAsanams to Azhvar and submitted two white umbrellas (chatram), two sAmarams with golden handle, and silk and high quality clothes to the divine feet of azhvar. Then swamy did a grand dhadheeyArAdhanam to srivaishnavas and then returned back to vAnamAmalai. In vanamAmalai, swamy did great kainkaryams. Swamy built a mandapam for utsavams and then also constructed a compound wall around the Periya thiruvadi for the purpose of thiruvArAdhanam. As swamy continued with his kainkaryams to deivanAyaka perumal one day he selected one of his intelligent shisyas (whose name was also thiruvenkata jeeyer which made swamy very happy) to follow him as jeeyer and take care of all his responsibilities. Then swamy again started his journey for having the divine darshan of Periya perumal and did mangalasAsanams to all the emperumans on the way. After the darshan of Periya perumal swamy then returned back to Vanamamalai and later did number of thiruvAbharanams (jewellery) to deivanayakan and sirivaramangai nAchiyar. In this way swamy remained in the peedam following the practices of the poorvAcharyas along with a number of shisyas for 19 years.
