Swamy’s kainkaryams (contd…)

Then in vanamAmalai swamy made beautiful golden palanquins for Srivaramangai

nAchiyAr, Azhvar and Andal each separately. Swamy also offered 100 vessels of

prasadam (nooru thadA niraiNdha akkAra vadisil) to the divine couples. Swamy

then submitted a beautiful horse (nampiran) for deivanAyakan, made of gold

studded with gems and pearls. Then, once again swamy started his journey to

koil (Srirangam). In Srirangam, swamy renovated the mutt, which was in a very

bad shape and beautifully reconstructed it.

Inside the Periya perumal sannadhi swamy made golden kavacham to the

thirumanathoon (the two pillars right in front of perumal in the garbhagruham).

Swamy beautified the sannadhi entrance with gold plated door and to add to all

submitted special food offerings to namperumal.

Then swamy returned to Vanamamalai and made a beautifully decorated golden hamsa

vAhanam to Srivaramangai nAchiyar.

On the seventh day of the vaikasi brahmotsavan in azhvar thirunagari swamy

submitted a golden “thirumanjana vEdhigai” (the seat on which divine bath for

the lord is done). In this way swamy remained in kainkaryam of the divine

couples along with number of shisyas doing sath grantha kalashepams and spent

his time as per the advices and practices of the poorvacharyas. Meanwhile swamy

fell sick and wanted to select an apt person to succeed him to take care of the

deivanAyakan sannadhi srikaryam and the kainkaryams in the mutt. After a little

thinking swamy selected one of his shisyas, Sri satakOpa rAmAnuja jeeyer to be

suitable to become the next peedAdhipathi. Swamy graced satakOpa jeeyer and

ordered him to submit a well-decorated golden hamsa vAhanam to Andal in

srivilliputtur.

Then swamy seated himself on a beautiful palanquin made of ivory and decorated

with gold and then gave it as prasadam to satakOpa Jeeyer. And then swamy

constructed a mandapam in the mutt on the other side of the well, called

Azhagiya manavalan thirumandapam and consecrated azhagiya manavalan inside.

Swamy daily worshipped this lord and doing vedhantha dvaya kalashepams remained

successfully in the samsthAnam for 12 years.
