While swamy was involved in the nithya kainkaryams of Srivaramangai nAchiyar and deivanAyaka perumal, it was time for azhvar vaikasi utsavam in azhvar thirunagari. Wanting to have the darshan of azhvar during that divine occasion, swamy proceeded with a number of shisyas to azhvar thirunagari. Hearing about the visit of swamy the srivaishnavas in azhvar kainkaryam happily delivered the message in front of azhvar who sent his thirumAlai, thiruparivattam and other honors to heartily welcome Vanamamalai swamy. Swamy who was staying near an arjuna tree in the outskirts of thirunagari was welcomed by the srivaishnavas with azhvar’s prasadams. Swamy prostrated and humbly accepted the honors and in a palanquin came round the divine streets with divine instruments played and many srivaishnavas announcing the praises of swamy in loud voices and finally reached the mutt. Swamy got up early in the morning (ushat kAlam) and finished his anushtanams when some srivaishnavas came and welcomed swamy to have darshan of azhvar. So swamy immediately left for the same. In the entrance swamy had darshan of ‘enavAyar thalaivan’ and then proceeded inside. Then swamy was welcomed by “satakOpar thEmalarthAlEndhiya pAdhukamAm endhai erAmAnusan” in thirukkaithalam (Sri ramanujan-divine feet of nammazhvar in the hands of srivaishnavas). Swamy immediately did dhandha pranamams and humbly accepted the eramAnusan on his head and then accepted the thirumAlai and thiruparivattam and adorning the same went in front of azhvar and did mangalAsAsanams to azhvar. Azhvar was highly pleased and hence along with the arulappAdu, “nam vAnamAmalai rAmAnuja jeeyer” blessed swamy with theertham, mAlai, parivattam, abhaya hastam and other honours along with the SrirAmAnujan placed on swamy’s head. Swamy accepted everything with lots of gratefulness and then proceeded to do mangalAsAsanams to the other sannadhis and then finally returned back to the mutt. Then as per usual practice, swamy received all the honours during the utsavams and then returned back to Vanamamalai. In Vanamamalai, the chatram and sAmaram of deivanAyakan was in a very bad shape. Swamy submitted a beautiful chatram with a golden handle and a pair of sAmaram (hand fan). Then swamy made a beautiful thirumanjana vEdhigai (the seat on which perumal is placed during the divine bath) with beautiful pillars and upper cover and also a crown called the ‘bhoopAlarAyan’ and submitted it to deivanAyakan and Srivaramangai nAchiyar to be seated and grace the crowd of srivaishnavas. For Srivaramangai nAchiyar swamy made a silver thOlukkiniyAn (on which the nAchiyar comes out in procession). For deivanAyaka perumal, swamy submitted a gaja lakshmi vAhanam.
