Swamy’s kainkaryams (Contd.)

Thereby swamy spent six months in brindavan and then wanted to go to pushkar to

have darshan of theertharoopi (the holy water itself is god incarnation)

emperuman overthere. Swamy told his wish to radhakrishnan and others who

submitted huge amount of wealth with great love and respect to the divine feet

of swamy. Swamy also accepted them and then left for pushkar. On the way the

king of jayapuram came along with all honours and welcomed swamy to his kingdom.

But the king was filled with pride and ego and hence he wanted to be seated

equal to swamy. Swamy thereby didn’t want to take even a drop of water in his

kingdom and left from there immediately. Coming to know of this, the king’s

mother felt very bad for the abhacharam (insult) done to the great mahan. She

immediately came running to swamy and fell to his feet and apologized for the

mistake her son has committed. She submitted wealth and other offerings to the

divine feet of swamy. Swamy due to his grace forgave the

mistake of the king and further proceeded towards pushkar.

There a vaishna prabhu by the name poorna mallu welcomed swamy and made all

arrangements for swamy’s stay. Swamy stayed there for 2 days had the darshan of

emperuman and then proceeded to ayodhya. Then swamy had the darshan of various

other places on the way and finally reached varanasi through the banks of ganga.

The vidwans in kasi got very angry to see swamy being praised with various

titles and honours and hence they came for a debate with swamy. Swamy delivered

a grand speech on the VishistAdvaita philosophy and left all the pandits

gathered over there dumbfolded. The king of kasi was highly impressed by the

mastery of swamy and his scolarliness. The king showed his due respect to

swamy. Swamy stayed there for 1 or 2 days as per the request of the king and

then proceeded towards chitrakoodam.

Swamy stayed in chitrakoodam for 2 months and completed his chaturmAsa viratham

over there. From there swamy proceeded to jagannatha kshetram and had the

divine darshan of purushotamam, did mangalasasanams to the perumal. On the way

many kings and srivaishnavas prostrated swamy. Swamy showered his grace on one

and all and inorder went to krushnaveni, godavari and finally reached Madhya

pradesh. At that time the king over there, came and fell to swamy’s feet along

with his family and welcomed swamy. Then swamy went to sanivArapettai, where he

was again welcomed by the king along with his family and was honoured with a

village submitted to swamy’s feet. Swamy blessed the king and then proceeded to

hasthigiri and had the divine darshan of perarulalan and perundevi thayar.

Swamy did mangalasasanams to the divine couples and then proceeded towards chola

desam.
