Dear Devotees: Please accept adiyen's humble pranam and read this appeal for

Serving our Dhivya Desam in Kancheepuram (Sri PandavaDhootar)

 

Maintaining an ancient temple is better than building a hundred new ones.

That is the reason why Yasoda who brought up Sri Krishna, attained greater

eminence compared to Devaki who gave birth to Him.

When the temple is a Divyadesam this is all the more significant. Serve Dhivya

Desams in any way you can.

 

Many of you are already serving some temples.

" What we can do, we must " - As HE allows us to use HIS resources for HIM via

devotees like us.

There are many many causes, we should try and do as much as we can, these are

oppurtuniites the LORD is placing for us.

Thiruppaadagam (Sri PandavaThoodhar Kovil), Kancheepuram needs Dvajasthambam

replaced very soon.

The old one is in very bad shape and about to fall. (Even tying a flag may

bring it down)

 

Moolavar in this temple is almost 22 feet high.

Wood for Dwajasthambam wood needs to be very tall.

 

Wood: Rs 95,000 (Is being purchased)

Labor for engraving and installation Rs 50,000

The brass covering Rs 40,000

Labor for bass work & installation Rs 30,000

 

Total estimates would be around Rs 2.2 to 2.5 Lakhs. (Approx. $5000)

Plus there are additional Samprokshanam expenses.

Pranams! I always think of you when it comes to temple

kaimkaryams. AchAryan has also spoken a lot about you. Since I

am in chennai, I will ask my sister, Srivaramangai
