Thirumangai mannan's anubhavam.

It is a known fact that thirumangai mannan had numerous meetings and experiences

with several dhivya-dhesa emperumAn-s..

Let us see just one of them

I. IN the eighth hundered, second ten , third pAsuram

" aruvi sOr vEnkatam nEr malai enRu vAi

veruvinAL, meyyam vinavi irukkinRAL,

perugu sEr kaNNapuram enRu pEasinAL

vuruginAL vuL melindhAL idhu en kolO " 8-2-3 periya thiru mozhi.

Suffering from pangs of separation from the Lord- parAkAla nAyaki - pines for

thiruvEnkatam .

ThiruvEnkatam is a dhivya dhEsam abundant with catastrophes. This will to an

extent help AzhwAr to cool down.

Hence, she called for vEnkatam.

Next, the rescue call was towards nEr malai- thirunEr malai- thirunEr malai is a

dhivya-dhEsam surrounded by water in those days.It used to be full of water for

6 months and for the rest 6 months the water used to come down to normal

level.

This also helped the AzhwAr to get pacified to some extent.

The next dhivya-dhEsam to be remembered was " meyyam' -thiru-meyyam- thiru meyyam

emperumAn being sathya mUrthy is a person who has taken true oath as per His

name to do anything for the sake of His devotees. Hence, the thought of this

dhivya-dhEsam.

Now she started talking about thirukkaNNapuram -full of wealth and auspicious

qualities- and melted instantaneously.

She talked and melted. Though talking about thirukaNNapuram and melting are

sequentially placed, in actual it seemed that these two events are one and the

same. The commentary is apt in this regard:

" pEsuvadhOr avasthaiyum, vuruguvadhOr avashtaiyum anRikkEa, pEsina vAyodE

nErpaNdamAi ninRaL. "

That is instead of being two happenings, talking about thirukkaNNapuram and

melting down AzhwAr melted on talking about thirukkaNNapuram.

We were seeing what happened to AzhWar 's on seeing the Lord. Here, thirumangai

AzhwAr's prAvaNyam on talking about thirukaNNapuram is highlighted.

(to be continued)
