Swamy’s kainkaryams (Contd.)

 

 

 

While swamy reached the outskirts of mahisoorapuram, the king welcomed swamy

along with others holding the respective honours (poornakumbam etc) and then

made the required arrangements for swamy and his shisyas to stay. Then the king

visited swamy, along with his wife and family and prostrated swamy and waited

for swamy’s blessings, while swamy blessed him with his Sri pAdha theertham.

Then the king requested swamy to advice him in the right path so as to overcome

this ocean of samsAram. Swamy was highly pleased with the king’s request and

hence he did an elaborate and strong upanyasam based on ethihasa puranas and the

paasurams of Azhvars on the topic of artha panchakam for 5 to 6 days. Listening

to swamy’s sweet and outbursting upanyasams the king was elated and he then

considered his janma to have had its essence. The king with high esteem praised

swamy and prostrated to the divine feet of swamy and then turned his look

towards his wife. His wife understood the thought at

the back of the king’s mind and hence she immediately removed the

makarakandikai (a type of precious jewel worn in the neck) from her neck and

gave it in the hands of the king who added a beautiful pearl chain to the same

and submitted to be adorned by swamy and further submitted number of precious

jems, gold and huge wealth.

 

 

 

Swamy accepted the same for the pleasure of the king, blessed them and then

called for the vidwans in the kingdom and honoured them appropriately. Then

swamy told the king about his return journey while the king came along with

swamy for a short distance and then prostrated swamy and returned back.

 

 

 

Then the king of vanapparuththi samsthAnam who came to know about the greatness

of swamy wanted to prostrate swamy along with his family and hence met swamy on

the way and submitted his invitation to swamy. Swamy also accepted his request

with grace and did samasrayanam to him along with his family and made him his

close disciple. He was highly pleased to be blessed with swamy’s grace and

hence he submitted precious clothes and other jems to the divine feet of swamy

along with one or two villages.

 

 

 

Meanwhile, krishnasreshti and others who were swamy’s disciples in a responsible

post in bhakyanakaram (hyderabad) coming to know about swamy’s visit to

vanapparuththi very close to their city wanted to invite and honour swamy in

their place, placed the same request under the divine feet of swamy. Though

swamy’s interest was then circling around having the divine darshan of Sri

varamangai nachiyar back home, still not being able to disappoint his disciples,

swamy filled with grace visited bhakyanagaram and stayed there for sometime and

then rushed back to sirivaramangala nagar.
