" vEdu seidhu maRRevaiyum mikka pugazh nAraNan thAL,

nAdu nalathAl adaiya nanguraikkum;nEdu pugazh

vaN kurughUr mARan indha mAnilathOr thAm vAzha

paNbudanE pAdi aruL pathu "

 

 

1. The first word startts with 'vEdu' which is not only the last word of the

preceding pAsuram but also the first word of

thiru voi mozhi next padhigam " vEdumin muRRavum " 1-2

 

2.The essence of the aforementioned thiru voi mozhi is the counselling by swAmi

nam-AzhwAr for attaining salvation which is - leave everything and surrender

unto Him. This is conveyed from the first two lines of this pAsuram

namely -vEdu seidhu maRRevaiyum mikka pugazh nAraNan thAl.

 

3. The last word of this Asuram is pathu which is not only the last word of the

padhigam 1-2 of thiru voi mozhi but also the first word of the next thiru voi

mozhi " pathudai adiyavarku eLiyavan " 1-3-1.

 

4.nEdu pugazh vaN kurughUr mARan in the third line of this verse praises swAmi

nam-AzhwAr
