What was the evolution or the actual origin of this prabhandham? This is likened to a lake of water becoming milk getting transformed into ghee and becoming amrudham overflowing from the lake. Likewise, for AzhwAr the bhakthi which springs from karmA and gnAnam, became parama-bhakthi (due to Lord's blessing-mayaRvara mathi nalam aruLinan) which becomes para-gnAnam and parama-bhakthi.The actual knowledge regarding the God, the deep devotion towards the Lord are like a lake of amrudham which starts overflowing with words approaching AzhwAr for a place in the prabhandham and the spate of words, spate of poetry, spateof psalms, culminating into avAvil andhAdhi.
