Swamy’s kainkaryams (contd.)

Then swamy as per the anushtanams (practices) of his poorvAcharyas took care of

the divine services in the deivanAyakan, Srivaramangai nAchaiyar sannadhis and

also took deep interest in the nithya dhadheeyArAdhanam and kalashepams at the

mutt. Swamy showed deep involvement in shisya abhivriththi and

danadhAnyAbhivriththi and remained with great vairAkhyam taking care of the

dharshanam with deep jnanAnushtAnams.

At that time swamy did a beautiful golden tholikkiniyan (in which emperuman

comes round in purappadu) with beautiful vAhana daNdams (vArai) to deivanAyakan

swamy. This tholikkiniyan was decorated with the divine images of satakOpa

ramanuja jeeyer swamy, pattarbiran swamy, and kaliyan swamy on all the sides.

Further swamy renovated the mutt in azhvar thirunagari that was in a bad state.

Then swamy renovated the thirumana thoongal in Srirangam. This kainkaryam was

initially done by thiruvenkata ramanuja swamy and due to time the gold got

depleted and hence with great effort swamy renovated the same with beautiful

gold at a high cost.

Further, swamy wanted to do divya desa yathra and hence he started his yathra

from srivilliputtur. There swamy did mangalasasanams to gOdhA nAchiyar and then

honoured by all the srivaishnavas and prabhus on the way in a grand manner swamy

reached chambakAranyam. There swamy was blessed with mannar’s honours. Swamy

stayed in mannargudi for the grand 18-day brahmotsavam (panguni utsavam) and did

mangalasasanams to mannar. On the final day of the celebration (rohini

thirunakshatram) rajamannar came round the divine streets on the divine chariot,

which was submitted, to mannar by Vanamamalai thiruvenkata ramanuja jeeyer.

After coming round the big streets with great enthusiasm in a single day mannar

called “nam Vanamamalai ramanuja jeeyar” and blessed swamy with theertham,

thirumAlai, parivattam, satakOpan, abhaya hastham and prasadam. Further with

great pleasure mannar called for his devotees and ordered, “nam Vanamamalai

jeeyarai nammudaiya sakalavirudhugaludan madaththilE vittu

vArungOl” (Go and leave our dear Vanamamalai jeeyer along with all the honours

in the mutt and come). Following the orders, the devotees amidst the sound of

divine instruments, chatra sAmara and other honours and praises took swamy to

the mutt where swamy honoured the perumal ghosti with due regards and sent them

back with happiness.

Then after the completion of the panguni utsavam swamy started from there and

then visited the divya desams in chola desam and did mangalasasanams to the

respective emperumans. In the middle, swamy visited “nandhi paNi seidha nagar”

nandhi pura viNNagaram and did mangalasasanams. Since this was the divya desam

were swamy was in service earlier, due to abhimanam swamy stayed there for some

days and then proceeded towards the north. Swamy visited bhoodhapuri and did

mangalasasanams to “tikkuRRa keerthi rAmAnujan”. There swamy saw the hamsa

vahanam earlier submitted to udayavar by pattarbiran swamy in a very bad state

and hence renovated the same with gold. Then with the permission from

EmperumAnAr swamy then visited all the thondai nAdu divya desams and then

proceeded towards bhAkyapuram. There swamy stayed for some days due to the

request of devoted disciples over there. Swamy was greatly honoured by the

srivaishnavas and prabhus over there. Then on his way back swamy reached

the place in between the KrishnagOdAvaree Rivers. There the king of

meedapuram, the famous gangAdhara rAmarAja welcomed swamy with great honours and

fell to the divine feet of swamy and requested swamy for samAsrayanam. Swamy

pleased with his request blessed him with thApAdhi panchasamskArams. The king

submitted gold, precious gems, pattu peethAmbharamas and a village to the divine

feet of swamy. Further he submitted a big elephant to honour swamy. Swamy

accepted them with pleasure and then honoured by others on the way finally

reached thirumalai. There swamy had eye filling divine darshan of “seerAr

thiruvEnkatamAmalai mEya ArAvamudhu” and then proceeded directly to aranganagar

and did mangalasasanams to aranganagarappan. Swamy got involved with emperuman

with deep emotions eyes filled with tears while emperuman pleased to see swamy

welcomed swamy and honoured him greatly. Then swamy returned back to

Vanamamalai.
