The Fifth Ten

 

" AvA enRu thAnEa than adiyArkkuch cheiyyum thol aruL enRu parathvAdhigaLai

vudaiyavan, ev idathAn ennum pAviyarkkum iru karaiyum azhikkum krupA pravAham

vudaiyavan poi, kUtRu, vanjakkaLavu, thavira, muRRavun thAnAi vunnai vittennap

paNNina virakthi pala paramAthma rAgam... "

 

Summary: The prime quality in this ten is " immense Grace of the

Lord " -kArunyathvam.

 

The Lord is exhanging pleasantries with the nithya-sUrigaL in His abode. He is

Supreme Being. He is the creator. He is the Omni-present one. He is the

Governing entity of one and all. The souls in this world, if the foregoing

points are considered are doomed once and for all. Greatest vis-a-vis the

Lowest. Considering these aspects, the souls distance from the Lord Almigthy,

reckoning their sins and so on. However, the Lord out of His voluntary Grace,

forgetting His independence-making it to vanish-encourages the conviction about

Him and breeds the indiffrence towards other things.

 

This Grace is showered on the soul who tell lies to the Lord and the lies are

like the unalloyed truth.

The requesting person is AzhwAr but the Lord acts as if He is the person who is

requesting for the whole mission. The Lord became everything to AzhwAr. This

lead to a situation where AzhwAr does not want to leave the Lord eternally.

Thus, the fact is that the indifference towards other things is created by the

Lord and the fruits of such indifference being parama-bhakthi -extreme

devotion,love and affection is further created by the Lord.

 

pAsuram-s:

 

" AvA enRu aruL seidhu " --thiru voi mozhi 5-1-9----> The Lord showers extreme

Grace on AzhwAr.

" thAnEa innaruL seidhu " --thiru voi mozhi 5-1-10--> The Lord showers the Grace

voluntarily.

" perumAnadhu thol aruLEA " -thiru voi mozhi 5-9-9--> This the quality of the

Lord- The Grace.

 

" ammAn Azhip pirAn, avan ev idathAn yAnAr, em mA pAviyarkkum, vidhi

vAikkinRu " --thiru voi mozhi 5-1-7--> The Lord with His divine weapons grants

Himself to the nithya-surigAl there. Such a great Lord showers His Grace on

AzhwAr which is fate-fate because it could not be avoided.

 

" poiyEa kaimmai solli " --thiru voi mozhi 5-1-1--> Is the Grace a response from

AzhwAr's praise on the Lord. No. AzhwAr showered lies and the lies were were

black lies.

" thEAnEa!innamudhEA! enRenREA, sila kUtRuch solli " --thiru voi mozhi 5-1-2-->

Expressing praise on the Lord with mere words feigning love and affection and

lO! the Lord responds with His voluntary Grace for such a deed.

 

" ennai muRRavum thAn AnAn " --thiru voi mozhi 5-1-10--> Ultimately the Lord

brought AzhwAr to a blissful state of seeing Lord as everything for him.
