Guest guest
LakshminAtha samArambhAm nAthayA munamatyayAm AsmadAchArya paryanthAm vanthE GuruparamparAm Sriyapathi is the pratamAchAryan for us. Azhwars have enjoyed the anubhavam of Him by various means. In Thirukkadigai, Azhwars called Him as ‘AkkArakkani’. This is quite beyond the level of comprehension. Can we plant a seed of a fruit and sugar and get a fruit out of it. If we are able to do that, we will get the sweetest fruit. Azhwars have sung that PerumAl is even sweeter than this fruit. This is the first level of sweetness. Let us look into the higher level of sweetness than this one. It is a common habit to have sweet at the end of our food. It is well known that, ‘MadhurEna samApayEt’ Similarly, when we look at our GuruparamparA, this also ends in a sweet way. This sweetness is even more than the sweetness that Azhwars enjoyed. Again, when compared to the anubhavam of Azhwars, this sweetness is such that anyone in our SriVaishnavite community can enjoy this sweetness. That is nothing but the following one, ‘Madhurathukku ManavAla mAmunigal’ We know that the sambandham of ManavAla Mamunigal is even sweeter than the direct sambandham with PerumAl. Why is it so? When we consider Maharishis, they always used to meditate on Sriyapathi, and were not part of this world to spread the kalyAnaGunAs of PerumAl. They were immersed in Bhakti. When we consider Azhwars, they were completely defeated by the leelAs and KalyaAna GunAs of PerumAl in various Divya Desams. Hence, they are one step higher than the Maharishis. Even in Azhwar gOshti, PeriyAzhwar is considered more special because of his pongum parivu. Compared to him, Andal and Madhrakavi Azhwar are more special (AchArya Bhakti). Let us look at GuruparamparA. Azhwar's works are to the level of their comprehension. Hence it is difficult to get the inner meaning by reading them. We have AchAryAs who have written vyAkyAnams to Azhwar’s Divya Prabandhams and Rahasya Granthams. Hence they are one step higher than the Azhwars. These works are considered to be very tough for people like us to learn. If we consider our ManavAla Mamunigal, He considered writing vyAkyAnams to those Rahasya Granthams. He also concentrated more on ThiruvAymozhi kAlakshEpam. The taniyans of ThiruvAymozhi say the greatness of it, as it contains the medicine for a soul bitten by a snake called samsArA. ‘vaaNnthikazhum sOlai madhiLarangar vaNpugazhmEl aanRa thamizhmaRaigaL aayiramum, - eenRa mudhalthaay sadagOpan, moympaal vaLarththa idhaththaay iraamunusan. mikka iRainNilaiyum meyyaam uyirnNilaiyum, thakka neRiyum thadaiyaakith - thokkiyalum, oozhvinaiyum vaazhvinaiyum Odhum kurukaiyargOn, yaazhinisai vEdhath thiyal.’ ManavAlamAmunigal is the ultimate sweeteness for everyone of us, where the GuruparamparA ends, and takes another turn to LakshminAthan. Swami Ramanujar is the nadu nAyakam of this sweet GuruparamparA. The fact that we are caught in this sweet cycle will cut us off from the cylce of samsArA. Wherever we start, it is always sweet in this GuruparamparA cycle. ManavAlamAmunigal’s Ponnadi is the the sambandham for all of us. Can we ask for any more sweetness even in the midst of this samsAric world? With all the karma sambandham that we have got, we are very lucky enough to get this sambandham, which for sure is the only means for us to get nityakaimkarya prApti. ‘RamyajAmathru yOgIndra pAdarEkhA mayam sada TadAyatAtma sattAdim rAmAnuja munim bhajE’ AzhwAr EmPerumAnAr Jeeyar ThiruvadigalE Saranam, Jeeyar ThiruvadigalE Saranam Check out the new Front Page. www.
