Guest guest
SrimathE RamAnujAya NamaH: Dear All, Pranams! With the grace of HH Kaliyan Vaanamaamalai Ramanuja Jeeyar Swami, aDiyEn would like to start writing on a special Divya Desam that has its uniqueness in complete fashion. Perumal exists in five states (param, vyUham, vibhavam, archai and antaryAmin). He exists as archA moorthy in various Divya Desams. Some Divya Desams house Perumal as one form of His vibhavam itself, or in any of the postures like standing, sitting or reclining. Infact, there are also Divya Desams where Perumal is in all the postures and also with the sambandham of Azhwars and AchAryAs. If we further drill down the kind of sambandham, it would either have been a visit or mangalAsAsanam by Azhwars and AchAryAs. There are some Divya Desams where we can find links to a bhaktA in purAnam too. If we look at all the above features and links, we would really find it difficult to find out one Divya Desa Perumal who differentiates Himself by all the means. This Divya Desam infact has covered the spectrum of Azhwar Goshti by strong ties not to their SriSookthis, but their lives. Similar is the case with the sambandham with an AchAryan, and so is the case with the bhaktA too. When considering the pancha prakAram, none can find all the above features of a Divya Desam Perumal along with his 5 states of existence in the same Divya Desam. Vedas say He is the complete one. Can we comprehend everything that vEdas say on this PerumAl? Darshan of this Perumal is more than enohg to comprehend what vEdAs say about Him. He is the Perumal who loves listening to songs (GhAnam). Who is that Perumal? Whose song did He listen to? What is His influence on the lives of Azhwars and AchAryAs? Let us enjoy the answers to these questions in the next few postings under the heading, ‘GhAnam kEtta Perumal’ aDiyEn, ramanan Discover all that’s new in My
