sweet for thoughts

 

The Lord Almighy has exclusive places of resorts like 'parama-padham'

'thiru-p-pArk-kadal' and 'divya-dEsam-s'. Overlooking all these divine spots,

em-perumAn enters the mind of AzhwAr and settles down therein.

 

AzhwAr is overwhelmed. Instead of he approachihng Him, it has gone the other way

round. The immense blessing thus moves AzhwAr and in this thiru-mozhi he again

and again talks of this event. AzhwAr proudly mentions " Oh! Lord, You have come

and voluntarily entered the heart of your subservient soul " --'vandhu-vunahdu

adiyEan manam pugundhAi " .

 

In the next pAsuram this is again narrated -'aravaNai vEali thalaik

kidandhAi-adiyEan manathu irundhAi' 3-5-2;

 

'pundhiyEan manathEa pugundhAiyai pOgal-ottEan' 3-5-5;

 

'..en manam pugundhadhu' 3-5-3;

'adiyEan manam pugundha, ap-pulava puNNiyanE,

pugundhAiyai-p-pOgal-ottEan'3-5-7;

'aruL purindhu ingu ennuL pugundhAi.. " 3-5-8;

 

 

Thus, it may be observed that thriumangai mannan regarded the Almighty entering

his mind voluntarily as a great grace.

Perhaps, that is why, the yearning and desire for the Lord was lingering in his

mind and made his thoughts sweet and sweet.

 

This is why he termed the Lord as 'sindhanai-kku-iniyAi' -sweet for the

thoughts.

 

The thiruvArAdhanap perumAL of thriumangai AzhwAr can be worshipped even today

at thiru-nagari who is none other rthan

 

" sindhanai-kku-iniyAn'
