Guest guest
kali-kanRi vuLLathin vuLLEa vuLan kaNdAi As srE guNa vEnkat mentions the mudhal AzhwAr's pAsuram and amalanAdhippirAn do not have phala-sruthi. Moving on to kaliyans' works, one of the outstanding thiru-mozhi which i alwyas chrish and mention with pride is the 'mAnamarumennOkki' thiru-mozhi 11-5 where it is a novel idea of two maidens one praising of the supremacy and the other saulabyam of the Almigty is picturised wonderfully. The final pAsuram is the masterpiece. One of the maidens say ' He is the Lord of thiru-p-pARkaDal, The Lord who begot three steps of land from mAvali, He is the Lord who is in thiru-vENkatam' For which the latter replied " Let it be so. Let Him be in vyUham or in vibhavam or in archai. He is in the mind of thirumangai mannan-kalikanRi" This thirumozhi thus completely enjoys the qualities of the Lord does not talk of the benefit or phala-sruthi. "kaLLathAl mAvalaiyai mUvaDi maN koNdaLandhAn, veLLathAn, vENkatathAn enbarAl sAyEAlEa, veLLathAn, vENkathaAnEalum, kalikaNRi vuLLathin vuLLEa vuLan kaNdAi sAyEAlEA' 11.5-10; (to be continued) vanamamalai padmanabhan
