Sri Andal and her ghosti with great enthusiasm proceeded to attain the divine krishnAnubhavam. On the way they found that one of the gopi who they all liked a lot and one who is a favourite of krishna haven’t joined them yet and hence andal and a few of them went to the entrance of that gopi’s house and awaken her giving her all the proof for dawning in this eighth paasuram, “keezhvAnam vellendru”

Andal says, “pOvAn pOginrArai” Here their journey is equated to three important journeys that should remain always in the minds of every Srivaishnava. “ArchirAdi gadhiyAlE Srivaikundaththukku selluvArai pOlEyum, akkrooran kaNNanai parka vandhAr pOlEyum, thiruvEnkata yAtrai seivAraipOlEyum pOvadhaiyE prayOjanamAga kondu pOnArgal”

The last journey of any Srivaishnava is to the divine abode of emperuman through (via) the ArchirAdi gadhi. Every prapannan should always remain in the thoughts of that very day when emperuman is going to grant us that ultimate result in order to attain the nithya kainkaryam of emperuman along with the nithyasooris (‘koovikkollum kAlam ennum kurugAdhO’). Swamy nammazhvar explained about that divine journey in his “soozhvisum pani mugil” padhigam. But can we all really visualize the same, placing us in the state of nammazhvar?

The next journey that happened in this world is the journey of akkrooran to gokulam as per the orders of kamsa during the krishnAvataram. The divine state in which akkrooran traveled thinking of what all will happen in gokulam when he met Sri krishna as explained in bhagavatam and other puranas increase our pAruppu (interest to attain krishnAnubhavam). So meditating on ‘akkroora yAnum’ is very important to every Srivaishnava.

Even the journey of akkroora happened in a different yuga, how do we put us in his state? Don’t we see the enthusiasm and interest each one of us show when we plan to go and have the darshan of thiruvenkatamudaiyan. There are so many other divya desams and even it is easier to have the lord’s darshan in those divya desams but we find all of us striving hard to have the darshan of thiruvenkatamudaiyan in some way though both climbing the hills and reaching the emperuman in the queue is a very difficult process. Still even if it is a matter a few seconds we (here includes not only Srivaishnavas/prapannas but all astikas) undergo all hardships to have the darshan of Srinivasan. Though everyone wants to have the darshan of thiruvenkatamudaiyan there is a very great difference between the visit of Srivaishnavas to thirumalai and others. Srivaishnavas visit thirumalai for doing mangalasasanams to the lord and for the very purpose of enjoying the divine darshan only (no other prarthanas) and hence this yathra is equated to the yathra of akkroora to have darshan of krishna and the final yathra of jeevatma to the divine abode of emperuman.

In the same paasuram andal also shows that what ever was done by Sri Krishna in his avataram was only for the sake of his devotees to get them closer to him and give them the divine anubhavam.
