Guest guest
vazhU-amaidhi adaindhu vuindhEan The fundamental education given to any kid is regarding 'tense' -present, past and the future. An elementary school kid will be able to identify that future tense is one where the action is anticipated. However, there are certain tenses where this is deemed to have been completed and therefore expressed in the future tense. Though this is technically wrong, due to customs and usage, this is grammatically accepted. For example, "Gandhi is the father of our nation" .This is factually wrong but accepted. India is my mother country--Here the gender mistake is accepted. Similarly, some action though not yet complete, due to the conviction and the definitive presumption is deemed to have been completed and hence expressed in the past tense. In the pAsuram where it was seen that thriu-vENkatamudaiyAn Gracing thoNdai mannavan- thirumangai AzhwAr declares that on having attained the Divine Feet which has measured the three worlds - He proclaims that he has been elevated "..vulagam adaindha pon-adiyEa adaindhu vuyndhEan" 5-8-9; On reaching the Lord's divine Feet the status of AzhwAr will get elevated to the highest pedestal. However, he declares that he has already reached so --adaindhu vuindhEan-- This is a vazhU-amaidhi -- The fact that the action follows instantaneously on reaching the thiruvadi of the Lord.
