Unless one studies idhihAsam-s and purANAm-s one cannot get the finer and minute details. For instance everybody knows about the mahA-bhArathA war. Lord krishNA was the charioteer for arjunA.

 

What colour were the horses? One has to go deep into the vyAsa bhAratham to find out this.

 

There is a fast track short cut, however to find out these details and that is aruLich cheyal.

 

BOth thirumangai AzhwAr and periyAzhwAr describe the colour of the arujunA's horses as white.

 

periyAzhwAr mentions " veLLaip puravi-kurakku vel-kodi" peiryAzhwAr thirumozhi 4-1-7;

 

In periaya thirumozhi sri thirumangai mannan confirms this again

 

"veLLaip purvaith thEAr visayaRkAi" 6-5-8;
