Guest guest
Sri Parthasarathi thunai Srimathe ramanujaya Namaha Srimad Vara Vara munayE Namaha Sri vAnAchala mahA munayE Namaha Paasuram-52 “vilaik kAtpaduvar visAdhi ERRunbar talaikkAtbali thirivar takkOr-mulaikkAl vidamunda vEndhanaiyE vErA eththAdhAr kadamuNdAr kallAdhavar” Oh azhveer! What makes you so confident that there is no one equal to you? Azhvar replies, “see what sort of folks fill this world. Is there any doubt in me saying so after seeing these people?” (vilaikkAtpaduvar) Some people sell their athma for cheap rates. That very athma which is not independent but belongs to that divine emperuman, that which is under his control and that which he loves equal to the kowthupam which he adorns with joy and that which is priceless. These people sell that precious athma for pennies. (visAdhi eRRunbar)If one wealthy person is diseased, these people go to the extent of sharing his disease for the sake of money. (vunbar) for earning the money these people don’t mind to suffer with the disease also. (talaikkAtbali thirivar) They submit their prayer under the feet of lowly devathas for the sake of the wealthy person in deathbed. They vow to chop off their own heads if the other person recovers. They earn the money at the cost of their life. (takkOr) what great intellectuals! They don’t even have the basic knowledge that they can enjoy the earned money only if they have this body and life. They take others diseases and prepare themselves to suffer but satisfied with earning the money. They consider themselves to be under others control and sacrifice their health, happiness and everything. What sort of stupidity is this! (mulaikkAl vidamunda vEndhanaiyE vErA eththAdhAr kallAdhavar) These people are dullard due to their lack of knowledge about the divine lord who drank the life of pootana, who dressed herself to be a mother but planned to kill Krishna by giving him milk mixed with poison. Krishna tactically drank not only the milk but also her life. Emperuman removes all our enemies but these people never go near him or fall to his feet and hence their enemy, the ignorance is still not removed. (vEndhanaiyE vErA eththAdhAr) These people are concerned with money and wealth they go and praise even the lowest of the lowest person in this world with all sorts of honouring words but they fail to praise the actual divine personality, emperuman due to their ignorance. “tE tvakam bhunjanthE pApa: [geetha 3-13] (Those sinners eat their sins) (kadamuNdAr) these people are always in debts. Knowing very well that they cannot repay it still they do not refrain from taking loans and eating.
