Dear SrEvaishNavites,

If one thinks that there are absolutely no roadbloaks for an airborne vehcile -they are mistaken. The king who was the accused arbitrator had to land at ThEAr azhundhUr-as the name goes, since his chariot touched the earth.

Was the ThEAr azhundhUr land very fertile, then? Was it rich with nature-s beatuy? Were the fishes strong ? How wever the plants and flowers?

All these are minutely explained by Sri Sadagopan Iyengar in

'A Peep into Periya ThiruMozhi -192-ThEAr azhundhUr 2'

The beatuy of the lines

'nellil kuvaLai kaN kATTa -nEril kumudham vAi kATTa -allik kamala mugam kATTum kazhani azhundhUr..' 7-5-10; are to be cherished and enjoyed.

The paddy in the nascent stage has a flower -kuvaLaip-pU which resembled the eyes of the maidens of the divya-dhEsam; The kumudha malar resembled the lips of these pretty women and the allip pU resembled their wonderful countenance. What a beautiful poetical description.
