Guest guest
The EmperumAn engulfing Thirumangai Mannan We know that Emperuman dwells in all of us, in the form of the Antaryaami, infinitesimal and invisible to all but Yogis. However, even in this microscopic form, He does not forsake His Consort and is present in our hearts along with Her, says Azhwar, confirming Sri Nammazhwar’s assertion that Sri Mahalakshmi is inseparable from Emperuman, whatever form He might assume. This significant truth is brought out by Azhwar’s lines, “Paavai Poomagal tannodum udane vandaai! En manatthe manni nindraai!” Though He is ever-present in us as our Inner Dweller within our atom-sized souls, in the case of His ardent devotees, He fills their entire bodies with His ebullient presence, making their hearts overflow with emotion at His intimacy, says Azhwar— “Maalai pugundu malaranai mel vaigi, adiyen manam pugundu Neela kangal pani malga nindraar nindra oor polum” 7-5-7; “Vanji marungul idai nova manandu nindra kanavagatthu-en nenju niraya kai kooppi nindraar nindra oor polum” 7-5-8; “Edu ilangu taamarai pol sevvaai muruval seidaruli maadu vandu en manam pugundu nindraar nindra oor polum”7-5-6; And who could be this gentleman, who plays with our affections and indulges in a hide-and-seek with the devout? None other than the Terazhundoor Emperuman, avers Azhwar Srimate Sri LakshmiNrisimha divya paduka sevaka SrivanSatakopa Sri Narayana Yatindra Mahadesikaya nama: dasan, sadagopan
