'oruvaraiyim nin-oppAr oppilA ennappA ! enginRALAL

Taking the next thread from the introduction by Rajam mAmi, let us go into this aspect.

Weapons of Savarip perumAL described as AbharaNam-s

The weapons of EmperumAn do not just represent a symbol of protection. They do not merely represent valour. For the devotees these appear as wonderful ornaments.

As seen in The Astha bhujam thirumozhi where Thirumangai mannan describes the weapons as 'sempon ilangai valangaivALi thiNsilaithaNdodu sangam voL vAL, vumbar iru sudarAzhiyOdu kEthakam von malar paRRi yeRREA.." 2-8-3 of Periya ThiruMozhi.

Similarly, ParakAla nAyaki gets enamoured with the weapons and time and agian narrates the beauty.

The first pAsuram starts with bang

'Silai ilangu pon Azhi-thiN padai- thaNdoN sangamenginRALAL.."

that is regarding sudharsanAzhwAn-Panchajanyam ..

The second talks of the divine bow and SudharsanAzhwAn.

'seruvarai mun-Asarutha silai anROA kaithalathathu enginRALAL,

poruvarai mun pOAr tholaitha pon Azhi mathoRu kai enginRALAL'

and the corollarly culminates as

'oruvaraiyim nin-oppAr oppilA ennappA ! enginRALAL

And that is Kaliyan for you
