Guest guest
Sri Parthasarathi thunai Srimathe ramanujaya Namaha Srimad Vara Vara munayE Namaha Sri vAnAchala mahA munayE Namaha Paasuram-65 “soodhAvadhu ennenjath theNNinEn sonmAlai mAdhAya mAlavanai mAdhavanai-yAdhAnum vallavA sindhiththiruppErkku vaikundath thillaiyO solleer edam” In the previous paasuram, azhvar placed his monition in front of one and all. Just word of advice will not serve the purpose and hence thirumazhisaipiran further proceeds to express the way he practiced the same and the results he is going to obtain due to his activities. (soodhAvadhu ennenjath theNNinEn) The start for any process is the plan that goes about in our mind to execute the same. I first meditated on the good deeds in my mind (nin pugazhil vaigum tam sindhaiyilum maRRinidhO neeyavarkku vaikundam endraruLum vAn –periya thiruvandhadhi-53) In some cases even in these worldly affairs just the thought gets all sweetness in mind whether it happens or not. If it is the case with lowly pleasures what to say about the ever-fresh memories of the lord –appOdhaikkappOdhu en ArAvamudhamE! SindhanaikkiniyAn! Is the name of the thiruvaradhana perumal of Sri thirumangai mannan. Just the thought about the lord is so sweet and mesmerizing. What to think? (solmAlai vallavA sindhiththu..) Think about the great works that elaborate the greatness and amenity of the divine lord, sarvesvaran. (mAdhAya) A personification of beauty. MAdhu-beauty; All that is cool to eyes does not give desirable results. Is that the case? Is he filled only with external beauty? (mAlavanai) Oh! No he is also the personification of love. Beauty of the mind is love. Otherwise he is mAyan- one who is filled with surprising enchanting actions. What makes him filled with both beauty and love? (madhavanai) He is lakshminAdhan; the master/husband of Sridevi nachiyar. His very relationship with piratti makes him filled with both beauty and love. (yAdhAnum vallavA sindhiththiruppErkku) For those who think about the verses, that remind about him time and again and also about the divine qualities and extraordinary greatness of the lord in some way or the other (vaikundaththil elliyO edam) is there no place for them in vaikunda? Please tell me. Sri Vishnu purana says, “Ayasa: smaraNE kOsya smruthO yachchathi shObhanam” What is the difficulty in thinking about that lord? Just a single thought about him grants us all the necessary benefits. Just by his thought he grants us even the ultimate abode since he is filled with the great sowlabhyam, the care the mother has towards her child (mAdhAya).
