THE TRUTH OF SRI RAMA AND WHITE LIES OF SRI KRSHNA

-- THE ULTIMATE RESORT FOR SREVAISHNAVITES

ThiruvaLLuvar in The ThirukkuRaL has declared that the outer purity is obtained by water cleansing and the inner purity is obtained by chaste truth.

'puRam thUimai nErAl amaiyum; agam thUmai vAimayinAl Ombap paDum'

In another kuRaL, the exception to the rule has been declared 'vAimai enap paduvadhu yAdhu enil, yAdhonRum thEmai ilAdha solal'

What is truth- Not doing anything detrimental to anybody.

If this applies to ordinary mortals like us then what about EmperumAn.

Well. One very well knows that Chakravarthith Thriumagan demonstrated His lifetime as a personification of truth. Therefore, there is no surpise if one folows His footsteps.

However, Sri KrshnA demonstrated not only truth but also white lies in His illustrious and vast expansive divine sojourn in this mother earth. Should we spurn this as it is mixed with lies or should we accept it as it is divine.

The point here is 'Be truth or lies, the Lord thinks and does for the welfare of the devotees. This is well understood from both the epics.Sri RamA from His truth rescued one and all. Sri KrshnA descendest to the lowest levels for elevating His devotees'

That is why PeriyavAchAn PiLLai declares 'rAmAvathArathil meyyum-krshNAvathArathil poyyumiREa namakkuth thanjam'

'The truth in Sri RamAyaNam and the lies of KrshNAvathAram are our ultimate resort'

The crux of the matter is whether it is lie or truth but it is EmperumAn who matters.

And all this from none other than our Thirumangai Mannan. The ThriuppullANi EmperumAn has taken away her mind and promsied that He will come but the promise has culminated into an unfulfilled lie. However, despite the public insult ParakAla Nayaki is believing His words be it lie or truth as it is EmperumAn.

'villAl ilangai malanga saram thuRandha

vallALan pin pOna nenjam varum aLavum,

ellArum endhannai yEasilum pEASidinum,

pullANi EmperumAn poi kEATTirundhEAnEA" 9-4-5;
