Guest guest
ThirukkOTTiyUr Sri PeriyAzvAr reminded himself and us of Sri mAdhavan of ThirukOTTiyUr in the ThriupallANDu 'alvazhakkonRumillA aNikOTTiyar kOne'. This was immediately followed by 'vaNNa mAdangaL sUzh ThirukkOTTiyUr' celbrating the birth of Sri KrshNA. Not satisfied, he again dedicated another ten pAsuram-s highly appreciating the bhAgavathOthamar-s of this great divya-dhEsam, their qualities of hospitality and those living there alongwith them are a blessed lot 'irundha vUril irukkum mANidar ethavam seidhAr koloA' A conclave took place at this venue long long eons earlier, strategising the ways and means, finalising the methods to demolish the asuran -hiranyan. That Grace fell on Sri PrahlAdhAzvAn is a known fact. The meeting charied by EmperumAn at that time and the ghOshti congregation took place then was the reason for the word 'Thiruk-kOshtiyUr' Though the Lord emerged there for this purpose, out of His saulabyam then, He still grants us His divine vision by His august presence at ThirukOshtiyUr. Thirumangai AzvAr enters this sacred spot to enjoy the charm of the Almighty here in the final thirumozhi of the ninth ten 'EngaL em iRai' and that is 'vaNNa mADAngaL sUzh ThirukOshtiyUr' dAsan vanamamalai padmanabhan
