Guest guest
Thiurk-kOshityUr mAdhavan alavazhakku onRumillA aNi kOTTiyUr Sri TCA Venkatesan svami rightly questions, how can the pAsuram 'alvazhakku onRumillA aNi kOttiYur' refer to Sri Madhavap PerumAL, when actually it refers to Selva Nambi? Definitley, this thirupallANdu pAsuram refers to none other than Selva Nambi who was the head of the place -aNi kOTTiyAr kOne and was proud to be a SrEvaisHNavite. The point meant here was:Sri PeriyAzvAr though speaking on a different context spelt out the name of this divya-dhEsam which immediately reminds us of that EmperumAn for us,and also ensued as a full fledged thriumozhi in the next 'vaNNa mAdangaL sUzh Thiruk-kOshtiyUr' padhigam. Extending this divya-dhEsam to the Lord, adiyEan recalled the ThirunAmam of EmperumAn as mAdhavan: utsavar Saumya NArAyaNa-p-perumAL /Madhavan.mUlavar: vurga mel aNaiyAn For wonderful pictures of ThirukOshtiyUr please log on to http://www.pbase.com/svami/utsavam2006 adiyean dAsan vanamamalai padmanabhan
