Guest guest
FOOD FOR THE LORD aham annam aham annam If somebody thinks that fabulous items running into varieites and numbers as food to be offered to EmpeurmAn to satisfy Him, they are mistaken. In the song celestial, the divine GEthA , He Himself has proclaimed 'pathram pushpam phalam thOyam'. SvAmi Nam AzvAr emphasises that it is very simple to worship Him 'pirivagai inRi nannEr thUi purivadhuvum pugai pUvEA' ThiruvAi Mozhi 1-6-1; EmperumAn looks for sincere devotion. Looks into quality and not quanitity. The food offered without any expectations in return -maDi thadavAch sOARu is the criterion. Sri Vidhurar offered planatain skins to Sri krshNA who told that He was happy and satisfied. Sabari offered fruits after she tasted it first. These are pure food as mentioned in 'maDi thadavAch sOARu ,suruL nARAdha pUvum...' srEvachana bhUshaNam 287; Well, ultimately the AtmA offers itself as food to the Lord Almighty on reaching the divine bed of Sriyappathi in the ThriunADu 'hAvU -hAvU-aham annam-aham annam-aham annAdhOA' dAsan vanamamalai padmanabhan
