We have never heard AzvAr-s going to school,college, university or pAtasAla.

 

However, Kaliyan declares himself as 'Educated kaliyan' in the final pAsuram of 'oru nal suRRam' thirumozhi 10-1-10;

 

Sri PeriyavAchAn PiLLai addresses this issue.

AzvhAr-s are bequeathed with immense grace of EmperumAn.

So their question of getting educated in sAsthram-s does not arise?

Then why does AzvhAr proudly proclaims as 'kaRRa nUl'

 

The vyAkyana karthA's prowess is wonderful.

 

Thirumangai AzvAr had initation from none other than the Lord Himself. He got educated the Thirumanthram from EmperumAn.

 

Can any other education be more than it? '

This Thirumanthram education from the Lord encapsules all learning and studies.

It consists of all one has to know.
